Take
a guided sightseeing water cruise through the WASSAW NATIONAL WILDLIFE REFUGE in Savannah GEORGIA.
WASSAW
ISLAND is one of 13 barrier islands (directly on the Ocean) on the Georgia coast. Eleven of which are either state or federal
parks.
See the DOLPHIN, BALD EAGLES,
OSPREY, WILD BOAR, BROWN PELICANS, HERONS, EGRETS, WOOD STORKS, and all the other wildlife in our fantastic Marshes.
LOCATION:
We leave from DELEGAL CREEK MARINA which is at the South end of "THE LANDINGS" on SKIDAWAY ISLAND. "THE
LANDINGS" is a private community about 15 miles Southeast of the city of Savannah.
BOAT: We
use an unsinkable 25' GRADY WHITE which is actually 30 feet in length with twin 200 HP Yamaha engines.
LIFE JACKETS:
All children under the age of 10 are required to wear a life jacket in Georgia waters. I have them on board for all
ages and sizes as well as adults.
WEATHER: It is always cooler on the water! In case of
inclement weather, we will cancel or try to reschedule. The boat does have a top, so light showers really don't
bother us.
WATER: The trip takes you out through the creeks of the WASSAW NATIONAL
WILDLIE REFUGE, and therefore we are generally in protected (calm) waters. Please do not take Dramamine!
CAPTAIN JOE has been doing these trips since 1989 and is an
"old Salt" on the waters of GEORGIA'S coastal water.
